How to Create Configurable Products in Magento 2

What is a Configurable Product?

The configurable products are the products that have personal SKU. So, it is very easy to track stock inventory for all different types of products. To manage configurable products is a bit tougher than simple products.

Steps to create Configurable Products

Choose configurable products from Add Product  at Catalog → Products

Check the below screenshots to understand it more

 

Fill in all the required details of the product.

Click on the 'Create Configuration' button.

Now you need to complete the four steps for creating the configuration.

Select attributes for customers to choose from.

Then, click on the 'Next' button at the top right corner.

Now, you have to select attribute values.

Then, again click on the 'Next' button.

After clicking on next, select options for images, price, and quantity. You also can skip the configuration for any of them.

Now just the last step left to create configurable product. Click on 'Generate Products'.

Lastly, click on 'Save'.

The product has been created successfully! :)
